In a bid to keep our members up to par with the latest travel trends, here is the latest buzzword in travel talk – a ‘Staycation’!

It’s a play on the word vacation and is meant to mean a vacation or holiday which is taken at or close to home, thus saving on the high cost of a long distance vacation, usually to a foreign country.

With many families unable to afford to splash out thousands on vacation and holiday trips, on top of common delays and frustrations with airports which can turn many costly breaks into a stressful nightmare, rather than a relaxing break, more are turning to at-home holidays than ever before.

Having a staycation is not for everyone, but it does prove that you can still have a budget holiday which is very individual and unique.
