Spa break holidays

Spa break holidaysSpa breaks are the ultimate chance for some pampering and relaxation away from hectic everyday life. Such holidays are all about indulgence improving your well-being, and are a great way to spend some quality time with friends, families, or even time alone.

Spa retreats are a popular choice for brides to be with friends for a hen weekend. They are often enjoyed as gifts for special occasions (birthdays, Mothers day etc) but don’t assume it’s just for the ladies – many spa’s offer male only packages and romantic couple focused treatments. Whether you simply need time out or organize a fun trip away these breaks are to provide time to rejuvenate and relax.

These holidays can vary considerably, as there are distinctive differences between a health farm experience and, for example, a spa hotel. Research brochures and online to see what kind of break you want and how long you want to be there. The advantage if such a holiday is convenience, you don’t have to necessarily go abroad and you can enjoy a weekend in the UK just as easily, for a lower price and a nearer location.

What to expect

Get ready to be pampered by professionals and enjoy a whole host of treatments, from massage and mini facials to body wraps and holistic therapies. Most spas are found in beautiful locations and are impeccably designed to complete the luxurious experience. In many spas and health farms you'll have full access to a swimming pool, sauna, steam room and solarium, so you are sure to find the perfect way to unwind. You can expect great quality nutritious food and accommodation with such a holiday, similar to a top class hotel.

If you still want to feel active in between treatments opt for places which include a fully equipped gym, tennis courts or classes available.

  • When staying overnight at a Destination Spa or Hotel Spa, you may like to take smart/casual clothing for dinner.
