CotswoldsIf you're looking for a wide range of outdoor activities you can enjoy while on a break, be sure to consider the Cotswolds.

Here at the Travellers Club, we can offer you an insight into this beautiful part of the country. Whether you're visiting for a weekend break or staying for a longer stretch of time, we hope our Cotswolds travel guide can help.

And if you're looking to go walking in the UK, the region - which is located in the west of England - can be a great place to head to. With its numerous trails and paths, be sure to pack your hiking boots when visiting the Cotswolds. Why not take a stroll along the Thames Path - the source of the iconic River Thames is in the Cotswolds - or follow the Cotswold Way which goes from Bath to Chipping Campden. These paths - among others - will see you follow Roman routes and ancient salt ways.

Of course you can also take to such trails by bicycle, while the region is also well-known for horse-racing - it is home to the famous Cheltenham Racecourse, which could be a great place to visit on a stag weekend.

If you want to go sailing in the UK, be sure to check out the Cotswold Water Park, where you can also try kayaking, windsurfing and canoeing.

Get back to nature with our Cotswolds travel guide

Cotswolds car museumIf you're keen to get back to nature while on a break, our Cotswolds holiday guide can help. Birdland Park and Gardens is home to a wide variety of animals, including parrots, falcons and pheasants, so it may be an ideal destination for ornithologists. And as the gardens spread out across seven acres around the River Windrush, you should have plenty of opportunity to breath in some fresh air. You can also visit the enchanting Painswick Rococo Garden and the Barn Owl Centre.

And if you're something of a culture buff, you'll find many museums to choose from in the region. The Keith Harding's World of Mechanical Music and Out of the Hat are just two of the numerous museums to be found in the Cotswolds, while if you're a car fanatic be sure to check out the Cotswolds Motor Museum.

Whatever your interests, the Cotswolds is sure to have something for you.
